ABOUT A YEAR AND A HALF AGO... JOEY & LUCILLE WERE ENGAGED TO EACH OTHER. LATER ON DOWN THE ROAD JOEY ASKED ME TO BE ONE OF THE GROOMSMEN. AFTER HAPPILY ACCEPTED THE INVITATION, I WANTED TO PICK A SPECIAL GIFT FOR JOEY & LUCILLE FOR THEIR UPCOMING WEDDING. I WANTED IT TO BE SOMETHING SPECIAL AND A ONCE IN A LIFETIME GIFT THAT COULD NEVER BE REPLACED.
AND I WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN ABLE TO GIVE THIS GIFT WITHOUT THE HELP OF MY DAUGHTER, KAHEALANI, GRANDMA WENDY, AND MANY OTHERS WHO MADE THIS POSSIBLE.
KAHEALANI HAS BEEN PRACTICING VERY HARD AS THIS WAS HER FIRST SOLO PERFORMANCE IN FRONT OF CROWD OF PEOPLE. I CAN IMAGINE WHAT KAHEALANI MUST HAVE BEEN GOING THROUGH AS THE DAYS WERE GETTING CLOSER TO WEDDING DAY. NERVOUSNESS, SCARED, SHY, STAGE FRIGHT... AND I CAN GO ON AND ON!!!
KAHEALANI PRACTICING HER HULA.
WHEN THE WEDDING DAY CAME... WORDS COULD NOT DESCRIBE WHAT KAHEALANI & I WITNESSED AND EVERYONE ELSE WHO WERE PRESENT AT THE WEDDING. THE GIFT OF A "HULA" PERFORMANCE FOR JOEY & LUCILLE.
KAHEALANI'S HULA PERFORMANCE AT THE WEDDING.
I WOULD LIKE TO ONCE AGAIN EXPRESS WITH LOVE & ALOHA AND GIVE THANKS TO KAHEALANI & GRANDMA WENDY FOR MAKING THIS VERY POSSIBLE FOR ALL OF US TO WITNESS AND REMEMBER FOR THE RESTS OF OUR LIVES.
AWWWRITE!!!
WAIPA
